Set a budget and you’ll hear about it at 80% and if you go over. That’s all that happens: it counts, you decide. It will never moralise about a purchase or refuse to record one.

Point it at the accounts and websites that make up your actual life — your shop orders, your subscriptions, your library, the games you play, the sites you buy from. Any app or website with a door — an API key you paste in, a feed, a calendar link, or a share button — it can reach through. It builds a picture of what you like and starts getting things right without being told twice.

It knows you from what you connect and tell it — not from secretly watching which apps you open. A self-hosted agent can’t see that, and wouldn’t. Everything it learns is visible (say what do you know), deletable in a tap (forget), and you can stop it learning entirely at any moment (private). A genuinely closed app with no door stays closed; we say so plainly rather than pretend.

Hands free

Driving, cooking, carrying shopping — hold the microphone and talk, and it answers out loud. What you said appears as text first, so a mishearing is one tap to fix rather than a wrong thing done. On an iPhone you can also set it up as “Hey Siri, ask Robin” without installing anything.

Honest about it: push-to-talk rather than a wake word is a deliberate choice, because “always listening” means streaming everything your microphone hears to a server forever. And your browser’s speech service — not us — does the transcribing, so we say so rather than claiming it’s all local. Where a browser can’t do it properly, the button switches itself off and tells you, instead of pretending.

Connecting things

Paste a link. It works out the rest.

You shouldn’t need to know what an API is. Send your agent any web address — your team’s calendar, a shop, a blog, a fixtures list — and it goes and looks for the door itself: the feed the site publishes, the calendar it offers, the data it already hands out. Then it connects it and tells you what it found.

Tone changes the wording only. It never changes what it will or won’t do, and it never dresses up a problem as good news — a playful agent that hides a failure would just be a broken one.
